Data Analyst - Power BI

Our client, a firm offering a world-class solution to support businesses in their planning, organizing, and control activities for inventory, purchasing, and the maintenance of strategic assets such as production equipment, vehicles, real estate assets, buildings, biomedical equipment, and IT infrastructure, is currently seeking a Data Analyst.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the company's management, you will play a key role in transforming data into clear and actionable knowledge and insights using Power BI, while developing various reports and metrics. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Define requirements and collaborate with the data warehouse specialist ;
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for our clients ;
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret clients' data needs ;
  • Translate complex data into clear and relevant information ;
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure BI solutions align with business objectives ;
  • Collaborate with clients to define key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to their goals ;
  • Extract and analyze data from Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other relevant sources ;
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of the data used for client reports ;
  • Train clients on the use of developed tools to enhance decision-making ;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

  • Degree in data analysis, data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or any relevant field ;
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar position ;
  • Excellent command of Power BI and data visualization tools ;
  • Strong understanding and mastery of data warehouse schemas (dimensions and facts) ;
  • Knowledge of SQL and DAX ;
  • Experience or solid understanding of industrial processes, industrial maintenance, and procurement (an asset) ;
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems (an asset) ;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data ;
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written (to interact with clients, including many English speakers) ;
  • Strong listening skills and ability to understand clients' specific needs;
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and data-driven approaches.
