Electrical Engineer

Our client, an international company specializing in industrial automation solutions and professional technical training, is a key player in developing advanced technologies for a wide range of industries. Operating in over 60 countries and committed to sustainability and innovation, this organization brings together a collective of technical experts, engineers, and designers to transform industrial processes on a global scale. Currently, our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer.

Nature of position

Reporting to the Vice President of Products, you will play a central role in managing development projects, designing new products, and maintaining existing products across various fields in electrical and electronic engineering. You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects including power electronics, motor management and control, renewable energy systems, and designing renewable energy source emulators. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage product development and maintenance projects, ensuring quality and compliance with client requirements;
  • Design innovative educational solutions in the field of electrical engineering (motor control, automation, industrial electrotechnics, energy systems, process control, etc.);
  • Actively participate in all phases of the development cycle (analysis, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance);
  • Create and optimize C-language programs for embedded systems;
  • Design microcontroller-based circuits and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs);
  • Fully understand and leverage the functionalities of microcontroller-controlled circuits;
  • Stay informed of new technologies to continuously advance our teaching solutions;
  • Provide technical support to production and customer service teams to ensure optimal product functionality;
  • Perform any other related duties in line with your responsibilities.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the electrical field or any other relevant combination of education and experience;
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English to effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and colleagues internationally;
  • Knowledge of C programming language;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders;
  • High degree of autonomy and sense of responsibility in project management;
  • Completion of the IGEE teaching program (an asset).
