Here are 10 behaviours/attitudes that will prevent you from getting the job you want after your interview but that the recruiter/interviewer will never mention! When recruiters interview candidates, it is rarely only to discuss your CV. In fact, with the same academic background, there is little difference between someone with seven, eight or nine years of experience. At this point, they no longer want to know if you know how to work, but if they want to work with you.
Curiously, it is at this precise moment that several types of candidates will blow their chances.
The talker
They respond to the recruiter's questions with interminable answers so that the recruiter can hardly move on to the next question.
The carp
Silent as a carp, this type of candidate is content to answer yes or no to all the questions asked... just like a prisoner during a police interrogation.
The decorator
Shy, they never look you in the eye, preferring to stare at the floor or focus on the decor.
The old-fashioned
He bought a suit for his very first interview about ten years ago and still wears it today.
The soiled one
You can tell by his clothes, which are sometimes stained, and by his overall scruffy appearance, but mostly you can smell it. A criticism that also lends itself to those who wear too much perfume.
The teacher
No matter what the question, he knows everything and always has a life story to tell you. Sit down, you can feel that he has more to show you.
The arrogant one
For him, the interview is just a formality because not only does he see himself in the job, but he also expects to climb the corporate ladder quickly. He often pushes the arrogance to pass the employer in an interview.
The Negotiator
Less ambitious than the arrogant one, he nevertheless insists on negotiating his working conditions at length (insurance, vacations, vacations), right from the first interview.
The scurrilous one
He believes that there is no worse boss than his past employers... which he will undoubtedly repeat about you when he leaves the position for which he is interviewing.
The latecomer
By arriving late to the interview for no reason, he is proving to you that he will be late for work. By doing so, he has blown his chances before he even gets in the door. The funny thing is that he doesn't seem to know it... which is true for all the types of candidates mentioned previously.
