Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Quebec with an international clientele, is currently seeking an Engineering Manager for its state-of-the-art facility.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the Operations Director, your mandate will be to oversee a team of engineers and technicians tasked with analyzing and designing equipment or processes to improve the efficiency of the company's various departments. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Initiate continuous improvement projects ;
- Monitor project schedules with team members ;
- Oversee testing of new equipment concepts, tooling, and prototypes ;
- Conduct studies, analyze and interpret data to diagnose issues with existing production equipment ;
- Manage the implementation of engineering projects in the facility ;
- Participate in providing technical support to various production departments ;
- Serve as the liaison with external suppliers of equipment, processes, and products to enhance productivity ;
- Perform any other tasks consistent with your role.
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering training ;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ;
- Experience managing a technical team ;
- Experience in the manufacturing sector ;
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software (an asset) ;
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written (English is required to collaborate with international clients and suppliers) ;
- Proficiency in standard computer tools ;
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
