Computer Systems Analyst

Our client, a major processing company operating in the pulp and paper industry, is currently seeking a Computer Systems Analyst for its plant located in the Quebec region.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the IT service manager, you will play a key role within the IT team by ensuring systems integration, analyzing user needs, and developing innovative software solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to the optimization of technological operations and the continuous improvement of IT processes. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications in an ASP.net environment to meet the growing needs of the company;
  • Integrate third-party systems with existing applications, ensuring optimal compatibility and performance;
  • Analyze system specifications and user needs to design efficient and tailored IT solutions;
  • Develop and conduct rigorous tests to ensure the quality and reliability of deployed applications;
  • Create custom reports using a report generator to provide end-users with valuable and actionable insights;
  • Collaborate closely with IT team members to solve complex problems and propose continuous improvements;
  • Provide proactive technical support to end-users to ensure smooth system usage;
  • Carefully document processes and procedures to facilitate future system maintenance and updates;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
  • Experience in developing web applications with ASP.net;
  • Proficiency in managing and configuring IIS servers;
  • Expertise in relational databases, particularly SQL and Oracle, with experience in database design, optimization, and management;
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and JSON;
  • Experience in integrating third-party systems and developing web services;
  • Ability to use a report generator to extract, analyze, and present data, with strong SQL skills;
  • In-depth knowledge of database concepts and data modeling;
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with team members and end-users;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently.
