Network Technician / IT Support

Our client, a major telecommunications provider offering a variety of services such as business telephony, high-speed cable Internet, FTTN, and fiber-optic Internet, is currently seeking a Network Technician / IT Support to support its growth.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the service director and in collaboration with the network administrator, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to clients. Additionally, you will ensure the proper functioning and optimization of the company's technological solutions and assist the network administrator. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide customer support (both remotely and on-site) for the management, installation, configuration, and maintenance of their IT, networking, and telephony tools;
  • Participate in the updating of the organization’s and clients' technological platforms and infrastructures;
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date documentation of both internal and client infrastructures;
  • Analyze information provided by clients to identify issues and propose solutions in collaboration with team members;
  • Participate in the management, maintenance, and optimization of both our infrastructures and those of our clients;
  • Perform any other tasks that align with your role.

Required qualification

  • DEC or AEC in IT, or other relevant training/experience;
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong knowledge of networking;
  • Knowledge of virtualization solutions;
  • Knowledge of backup solutions;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers 2012 and later versions;
  • Understanding of software and hardware technologies;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrates empathy, has excellent listening skills, and shows great tact;
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
