Production Planner

Our client, a well-established company specializing in the development and manufacturing of electrical equipment, is currently seeking a Production Planner to support its ongoing growth.

Nature of position

Reporting to the General Manager, your main responsibilities will be to analyze, plan, and create schedules for the various stages of production, incorporating the adoption of AI to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize operational performance. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure synchronization of all departments to translate the budget and sales plans into a manufacturing schedule;
  • Deploy and implement AI solutions applied to production planning;
  • Establish production schedules by determining resource needs, capacities, and timelines for each project;
  • Develop a detailed plan of the factory's production chain and provide required deadlines for other departments to meet delivery dates;
  • Manage overall projects related to AI implementation, adhering to established schedules and budgets;
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and coordination throughout the process;
  • Optimize plant capacity while minimizing operational costs & ensure proper monitoring of key departmental performance indicators;
  • Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to optimize the operational efficiency of the production team;
  • Implement performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track the performance of production and AI solution implementation;
  • Manage the integration and effective use of the ERP system for production planning and operations management;
  • Actively participate in identifying and resolving operational issues;
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in AI and production software to ensure the company's practices remain cutting-edge;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

  • College or university degree in a relevant discipline (industrial engineering, business administration, etc.);
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in production planning;
  • Interest in artificial intelligence;
  • Proficiency in French both spoken and written, and functional English;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or others;
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Project software;
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively solve problems.
