Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in the production and marketing of cast iron parts for the plumbing, aqueduct, and special products markets, is currently looking for an Industrial Maintenance Engineer.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, your primary mandate will be to optimize industrial operations and installations, minimize production downtime, lead continuous improvement projects, and monitor maintenance costs. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring effective budget and cost management;
- Developing and adapting cost-saving strategies;
- Developing and tracking performance indicators to measure and improve operations;
- Identifying and analyzing the causes of breakdowns to propose sustainable solutions;
- Writing and maintaining technical documentation, including drawings and procedures;
- Organizing and optimizing the use of maintenance software (Guide TI);
- Implementing initiatives to increase equipment availability;
- Ensuring that machine safety concepts and standards are applied and respected;
- Performing any other tasks consistent with your duties.
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering training;
- Being a member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Ability to work effectively in a team;
- Proactive attitude and initiative;
- Impeccable rigor in managing files and projects;
- Desire to develop skills through specialized training.
