Project Manager (Automated Solutions)

Our client, a leader in its field, specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of automated equipment for the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, your main mandate will be to ensure the implementation and execution of client projects, including understanding project objectives and requirements and delivering within deadlines. You will lead the project team, monitor progress and budget, assess risks, and ensure the success and profitability of the project, thereby ensuring client satisfaction and company benefit. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, execution performance, and the commercial success of the project, all while working in a team-oriented environment. In this role, you will:

  • Assign tasks to project members based on their skills and manage the schedule.
  • Plan and coordinate technical design as well as implementation of project engineering work.
  • Identify the needs of each work group and ensure they are met.
  • Be responsible for compliance with execution standards and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with clients for assigned projects or accounts.
  • Organize internal and external kickoff meetings to ensure client expectations are understood throughout the project cycle.
  • Maintain an understanding of general business practices.
  • Identify critical issues, intervene, and propose corrective measures and innovative solutions.
  • Conduct risk analyses and establish response times, financial conditions, needs, and efficient staff allocation.
  • Implement the work plan and perform monitoring and controls for each phase of the project.
  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for clients, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of engagement from the assigned project execution team.
  • Work with other project managers and the operations team to ensure sufficient personnel for all ongoing projects.
  • Initiate closing meetings to assess project success and client satisfaction.
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or any other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in both oral and written French and English (English proficiency is essential for this position as it facilitates communication with a diverse range of business partners, whether national or international).
  • Possess excellent listening, problem-solving, and priority management skills.
